How did we get to this piece of property? Well, my husband's parents purchased the property when my husband was just 3 years old. As a child, he spent most of his summers on the property. When we started dating seriously, he brought me along. I fell in love with our piece of heaven.
Once Kiersten and Max were big enough, we would send them to Grandma and Grandpa for a couple of weeks during summer break. We are lucky that Marcus (Kiersten’s husband) and Lisl (Max’s girlfriend) both love the property as well. Max’s college buddies and Marcus and Kiersten’s friends have been coming to visit and work for the last several years. My family has enjoyed several vacations with us.
Everyone comes to help with projects and play. Our little piece of heaven has become quite the family vacation property. With the addition of solar power and Starlink, remote work becomes possible, extending the time friends and family can hang out.
As more friends and family come to enjoy our property, further upgrades are required. So we’re adding on to the guest cabin, putting in a water well, and adding more solar.
